Bay Horse

Went for lunch with friends. Amazing food, really good price. The landlady was really friendly and service was great. It was a bit quiet, we were the only ones in the restaurant (other people in the bar) but that's how we like it. Will definitely visit again. My husband said it was the tastiest steak he's had in a long while and the steak in the pie that my friend and I had was so tender it absolutely melted in the mouth. Puddings gorgeous. You could definitely tell it was all homemade.

I was desperate to try rhe cheesecake so actually got it boxed to take away. Service is 10/10, friendly and welcoming (thanks Sarah and Lucy). This is what a country pub should be.....

Oh what a gem of a place! The Bay Horse was recommended to us and wow we are so glad we visited! The pub itself is well decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. The outside space will be perfect on a warm day. I had one of the Good Friday Specials, Clam Chowder, and it was fabulous to look at and the flavour????? Amazing! Chock full of prawns, mussels, clams, squid and fish in a rich flavoursome chowder. My husband had the Home Made Chicken Kiev.Big crispy coated chicken breast running with garlic butter as you cut it! Delicious. We expected the puds to be the usual bought in tasteless pub pud. NO. The Sticky Toffee Pud and Crumbly Apple and Berry Crumble were clearly home made and sooo good. Thank you all at The Bay Horse! A truly great experience. We will definitely return, - with friends. :)

Found this place just by chance and will be returning a lot after this visit alone. Even my Frenchie was made to feel welcome. The food was absolutely spectacular. Value, portions and flavours all bang on. Clearly the bar staff and owners know what they’re doing as the beer was absolutely on point.

We visited The Bay Horse while on holiday as a family and it ended up being one of the real highlights of our trip. The food was absolutely outstanding, with every meal cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating, making a real effort with our three young boys, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The locals were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to Sarah, who was the best host. She was kind, attentive and clearly takes great pride in making sure every guest is looked after. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We had a warm greeting from are hostess Lesley who showed us to our table and then took are drinks order and left us to decide what to eat. It was a hard choice with such a wide range of food on the menu. My wife has dietary needs and Lesley was brilliant explaining how they could accommodate her. I decided on the black and blue burgers with home made chips, onion rings and home made relish. My wife ordered a sirloin steak with new potatoes and a special salad. When the food arrived it was well presented and both meals were very tasty.We were both surprised and how big the portion size was. The table next to us had the home made pie. I have never seen such a big pie and it looked amazing and our next visit i will definitely be having that. The Bay Horse is amazing inn with warm friendly staff and great food.

A warm welcome & friendly atmosphere in a traditional English Pub. Generous portions of tasty home cooked food with excellent service and great ale. Would highly recommend.
